If
you need to get a gift for a special someone, but haven't been able to find just
the right thing, consider a Photo to Video Montage/Collage. Joyful memories, happiness, excitement, special accomplishments, tender moments and life's milestones!! A birth, a wedding, a vacation, a special place, a victorious pose, all these moments wrapped up into one gift! Every time a family member and loved one in your life felt it was important enough to pick up a still camera and take a picture, they were capturing emotions and events to remember. Bring all of these emotions and memories to the television screen. This is the perfect gift, guaranteed to impress!! Here's how to put your perfect gift together: Resources: The most obvious places to find photos are photo-albums & storage boxes. Remember to ask siblings, friends and neighbors if they have pictures that will be great in your project, a wealth of photos may be found . Remember to keep it a secret if this gift is a surprise! How
to prepare your
photos: Above all, the best photos are the ones that will bring back the emotion associated with it. However, if you have two or more photos with essentially the same content, choose the photo with the best focus and exposure. This will yield the most pleasing image. Number your pictures: Legibly number your pictures in the order you would like to see them. This is best done using small stickers* that can be found in any office store and most stationery stores/departments. Place the stickers on the back of each photo. Please underline all numbers that can look similar when out of order (i.e.: 6<>9, 16<>91, 66<>99, etc). *If you are unable to get stickers please be sure to write in a lower or upper corner in the back of the photo so if the ink bleeds through to the front, the picture will not be affected. Be careful not to bear down very hard, as pressure marks from your writing instrument can also affect the front of the photo. Choose
your music: Select music of your choice. Most people choose music that is special to the person(s) receiving the gift. Provide the music on CD for best sound. When the project is completed your CDs will be returned. How much music? Of course, enough to fill the video! The best way to determine the estimated length of the finished video is to multiply the number of photos by 7.5. This is the average length each photo will be on the screen and will give you the total number of seconds for the video. To estimate the number of minutes, simply divide the total number of seconds by 60. If you would like to use a formula, here is an easy one for estimating the project length: Number of photos X 7.5 divided by 60 = length of video in minutes. It is always best to over-estimate the amount of music needed. Titles: Most people use titles at the beginning and end of the video. These titles usually express something special about the emotion of the event and your special thoughts on the occasion. Once
you have this all together, bring the materials to VIDEOSCOPE PRODUCTIONS . . .
