The master video can be: DVD, Mini DV, VHS, Super VHS, VHS-C, Video8,  and Hi 8.

Additional instructions:

 If the tape is to be duplicated from the beginning to some place in the middle, the tape should be forwarded to the end point in the middle of the tape.
