TRANSFER YOUR HOME VIDEOS TO DVD

DVD-R

The DVD format is a great way to preserve and watch your favorite home videotapes*.  DVD will hold up to 2 hours of video. Chapter points are inserted at approximately every 5 minutes. This makes it easier to get to different parts of the video that you would like to watch.

DVD's are projected to preserve your videos for at least 50 years, much longer than videotape is projected to last. We support the DVD-R format.

Running Time cost

61-120 minutes $50.00

About the DVD-R Format:
Videoscope Productions uses Version 2 DVD-R's designed for General Media Use which can be played in the vast majority of home and computer DVD players manufactured after 2001. It is the most prevalent DVD media currently on the market. Despite this fact, some players cannot play DVD-R's recorded for general media use. Please research your player's compatibility before converting your videotapes to DVD-R.

*Please Note: the quality of the DVD can not exceed that of the original source material. That is, a VHS copy on DVD will not look better than a VHS source tape, although it will be more convenient to play (with no rewinding of tape). Also, certain older DVD players can not play  DVD-R discs.

Please click here to view a partial list of DVD player models for capability.

*Please Also Note:  If your player was manufactured after the year 2000 it is most likely compatible with DVD-R
